How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
How do I prepare for a Laser Hair Removal treatment?
For about three weeks prior to treatment, you should only shave the area you wish to have laser (avoid plucking, electrolysis or waxing). In addition, do not expose the treatment area to intense sunlight/tanning booths. The day before, shave or trim the hair down to ensure the hair follicle is as short as possible.
After treatment, you should protect the skin with an SPF of 30+ as it will be a bit photosensitive.
What can I expect during laser hair removal treatment?
During the treatment, you will be required to wear protective eyewear to ensure that the laser light does not affect your eyes.
Our laser technician will apply the settings which best suit your skin type, hair colour, and hair thickness. Then, once a custom setting has been made, the laser technician will pass over the area you wish to be treated. Typically, the treatment is pretty quick and you will be able to return to your daily activities afterwards.
How long does a GenMax Pro laser hair removal treatment take?
A treatment can take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the treatment area and the condition being treated. Both legs can often be treated in as few as 20 minutes, as can an average-sized man’s back.

How many treatments will I need?
Multiple treatments are required to achieve the full hair removal effect. That’s because hair grows in the three stages.
The hairs on your body are not always at the same stage, so you’ll need to undergo a few treatments, an average of six weeks apart, to catch them in the growth stage. If treatments are done in the ideal growth phase, 80% hair reduction will be seen within 6 treatments.
How much does each session cost?
Standard pricing varies depending on treatment area.
