Adios to dead skin!
We start off the treatment with a double cleanse using one of our medical-grade cleansers, followed by an application of an AHA/BHA solution which allows the surface dead skin to gently lift away. Next, the dermaplane oil is applied and the outer layer of dead skin cells along with surface vellus hair is gently exfoliated off with the use of a new dermaplane blade. Then, an application of a green tea and papaya enzyme peel is applied to rid of any excess skin left behind. The treatment is completed with an application of a medical-grade serum tailored to your skin type, and moisturizer.

We start off the treatment with a double cleanse using one of our medical-grade cleansers, followed by an extraction process to decongest the skin if needed. Next, there is an application of an AHA/BHA solution which allows the surface dead skin to gently lift away. A dermaplane oil is then applied and the outer layer of dead skin cells along with surface vellus hair is gently exfoliated off with the use of a new dermaplane blade. Then, an application of an enzyme peel is applied to rid of any excess skin left behind.
Once the Dermaplaning is completed, we rinse your face and apply a hot towel to open your pores. A mask tailored to your skintype is applied and left on your face and neck over the next 15 minutes. After the mask has set, it is gently taken off, and the treatment is completed with an application of a moisturizing serum and SPF.

Will the hair grow back thicker?
No. It is physiologically impossible for your vellus hairs to grow back thicker. Once the hair is trimmed, it may have a blunt edge. But, this blunt edge does not mean that the hair structure itself has been physiologically altered.
Does Dermaplaning hurt?
Not at all! The treatment is relaxing and you will not experience any pain.
How do I take care of my skin after?
After a Dermplaning facial, we suggest letting your skin rest without additional products or make-up for 6-12 hours after treatment. Your skin will also be a bit more sensitive to sunlight due to the outer layer of skin being exfoliated. Therefore, we recommend using an SPF in the days that follow treatment (SPF should always be part of your skin care routine!). In addition, we recommend cleansing your skin every morning and evening so there is not an excess build-up of oils in the pores where vellus hair is growing.
How often can I get Dermaplaning done?
Dermaplaning can be performed every 4 weeks. This treatment actually removes about 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells. Therefore, we want the skin to complete its normal skin cycle of approximately 30 days before re-treatment.
